My Story

My name is Luke Catania IV, I am 23 years old and I'm a Photography and Media graduate of Northern Virginia Community College. In the beginning, Photography wasn't my first choice when narrowing down my degree options; it was the third option in mind behind Culinary Arts. My first choice and childhood dream was anything that had to do with animals.

Growing up there was always one or two dogs in the family which in turn helped me develop my love for animals. During my junior and senior years, at Thomas Edison HS, I took Veterinary Science in the academy and was looking into the Veterinary Technology program at NVCC. As you can tell, that didn't work out as I had hoped. However part of me wants to possibly give it another try sometime in the future.

As of now, I have a few full time photographic job ideas in my head. The first involves animals like household pets or wildlife. The second is travel photography since I love traveling to and exploring new places. However, the third and biggest dream for this path is to become a Sports Photographer. Specifically for the NHL, and if possible for the Washington Capitals, as I'm a HUGE fan and grew up watching them.
